Le Trunk Collectif is a three year old, Montreal-based theatre company that uses the performing arts as a tool for social development and as a springboard to create dialogue. Our objective is to create high-quality theatre productions that address difficult and topical social issues. We strive to break down any existing language barriers by producing plays that can be understood by both the Anglophone and Francophone communities.

Le Trunk Collectif was recently honoured with the Cirque du Soleil’s “Best Emerging Artist prize” at an award ceremony held at RIDEAU, emphasizing the audacity and quality of an emerging company’s artistic project.

Our trademark up until now has been the creation of a show that fits in a trunk, can travel easily, and is simple to set up and strike down. This feature has become an important goal in the development of our future productions.
